Kuraray's Advanced Interlayers conform to the standards ECE R43 and ANSI Z26.1 and is certified to ISO/TS 16949, DIN EN ISO 9001, DIN EN ISO 14001 and OHSAS 18001.

Trosifol® Clear, Trosifol® Shadeband & Trosifol® Color

Automotive laminated safety glass with Trosifol® Clear has excellent light transmittance properties in conformity with all requirements of ECE R43 and ANSI Z26.1. The film is available in some standard colors and as a shade band product.

It is supplied refrigerated or with a PE interleaf. Special product properties:

  • High edge strength for outstanding long-term stability
  • Moisture-insensitive glass adhesion
  • Pronounced flow and hence lower reprocessing rate, plus outstanding visual quality of the final laminate
  • Easy edge trimming
  • Low odour formation
  • Very low electrostatic charging

Trosifol® Spallshield® CPET

Traditional Trosifol® Spallshield® CPET composites are pre-assembled combinations of PVB, PET and a hard coat, typically used in transportation safety glass or ballistic applications where human safety is paramount. Adding an anti-spall composite during lamination increases the penetration resistance of a given thickness of glass and is also particularly useful in high-security applications. Additionally, in certain applications, such as sunroofs, the hard-coated PET essentially replaces a glass lite in order to reduce the weight of the glass structure leading to improved fuel mileage.

Trosifol® Spallshield® CPET, a single-component, hard coated PET film that can be used in combination with PVB or with other high-security glazing materials is available for spall protection laminates. Using Kuraray's Spallshield® films enables manufacturers to add durable spall protection to a wide range of new laminated glass designs.

SentryGlas®

All glazing used on ships – from yachts to floating hotel cruise ship giants - is subject to norms and standards developed by a national or international standards organization (ISO, BS, EN) specific for marine applications. Beside that it needs to be resistant to harsh conditions such as salt water, wave impact while ensuring passenger safety. Find here examples where Kuraray's Advanced Interlayers play a role to deliver great performance with high durability, increased safety and beside that helped to develop glazing systems with less weight.
