Research & Testing
Salt spray testing – harsh but necessary to reinforce peace of mind for interlayer capabilities. As a result of the test series Trosifol recommends – depending on the scope of application – Trosifol® UltraClear High Adhesion or SentryGlas®.
Edge stability test:
SentryGlas® outperforms stiff/structural PVB
Edge stability is defined as a laminate’s resistance over time to form defects along its edge. These defects can arise in the form of small ‘bubbles’ in the laminate or as discoloration of the laminate itself. For designers and architects, edge stability is therefore critical, especially when the edges are exposed to the environment ideally, laminated glass should show no signs of bubbles or delamination over the complete life of the building.
Cyclone-Glazing and Facade Resilience for the Asia Pacific Region
Market Study and Code Survey
Best Practices in Australia, Hong Kong, Japan and the Philippines
This is the final report of the two-year research project “Cyclone-Glazing and Façade Resilience for the Asia-Pacific Region” conducted by the international and well recognized CTBUH organization.
The core objective of this study is to overview existing standards and best practices for the design, construction and installation of cyclone-proof curtain walls in cyclone-prone areas in the Asia-Pacific region.
Building projects have been reviewed and the façade designs evaluated. In addition the ongoing research activities being undertaken by the government, industry and academic institutions on this specific topic are briefly discussed and possible future steps are highlighted.
