The projects have been recognized by ‘Glass Magazine’ in its 2025 awards under the banner ‘the best glass can be’. Established in 2016, the awards recognize outstanding achievements in the glazing industry and showcase continual innovation and evolution, with each year achieving even more impressive results than the previous year.

The first category in which our interlayers feature is Best Feat of Engineering. The award was given to the “Westfield-Hamburg-Überseequartier Glass Roof”, which incorporates over 8,500 uniquely shaped glass panels, each custom-engineered to meet the aesthetic and performance demands of the ambitious design.

Two of our interlayers were used. Our Trosifol® PVB interlayers were selected for the curved roof panels – delivering structural integrity while allowing natural light to flow into the interior spaces – while our SentryGlas® ionoplast interlayers were used for the larger laminated vertical façade panels, enhancing strength, durability, and post-breakage performance – a critical feature in high-traffic public spaces. The laminator on this project was Q4GLASS.

The next two categories were won by the same project, One River North, a visually stunning apartment block in Denver, USA. Winning Best Project Team and Project of the Year, this incredible looking building has a canyon-like opening – mirroring local geographic formations – snaking down and across its front façade. The building uses panels laminated with SentryGlas® in the exposed rooftop and terrace zones, both of which require resistance to high winds and excellent post-breakage performance. The laminator for these panels was Millet Glass Industries.

Finally, the Best Protective Glazing Project award went to Aston Martin Residences, in Miami, USA. The 66-story building, which is one of the tallest buildings in Florida, uses our SentryGlas® interlayer in a significant number of panels to help ensure protection against hurricanes, while offering impressive transparency, long-term resilience to coastal environmental conditions, and excellent post-breakage performance. The laminator on this project was Tecnoglass.
