HURRICANE GLAZING - Providing 24-hour wind borne debris protection
Hurricane glazing film is a special material developed to address the particular requirements prevailing in the world's hurricane-exposed regions. After intense cooperation with a number of North American test laboratories we have been able to define a film type meeting the universally recognized "Miami-Dade Product Approval Notice of Acceptance", as documented by NOA No. 06-0109.06 of April 27, 2006.
The outstanding ruggedness of our "XT90" film is already reflected in its name - "eXTreme - the film that weathers every storm." One particular feature of TROSIFOL XT90 is that it consists of a single 2.28 mm gauge PVB-film delivering unique efficiency and quality benefits in the manufacture of special laminated safety glass designed for this application. Solutions based on laminated safety glazing meet with particularly keen interest among U.S. and global insurance companies. This is with good reason - after all, traditional single-pane or double-glazing tends to get blown in by the storm, allowing the latter to penetrate into the building where it will find its way upwards and blow off the roof as it escapes. In the process, the force of the airflow may cause devastating damage by ravaging the building's interior; in the worst case, the structure may collapse altogether.
